Polymorphic insertions in Mycobacterium tuberculosis. A genomic region containing membrane lipid protein genes likely to have arisen through gene duplication. H37Rv contains two genes (Rv2543 and Rv2544), while the homologous region in CDC1551 appears to have undergone additional gene duplication (MT2618, MT2619, and MT2620).
