Annual incidence rates of meningococcal meningitis in Moscow from 1924 to 1998. Incidence rates were extracted from the compilation by Bolshakov (18) and data published in annual reports of the Russian Ministry of Public Health or obtained from 1969 to 1998 by the Central Research Institute of Epidemiology from epidemiologic investigations in Moscow.
