aPlasma samples were tested for antibodies cross-reactive with HIV-1 and HIV-2 antigens by using a recombinant-based line immunoassay (INNO-LIA HIV Confirmation, Innogenetics, Ghent, Belgium). Positive (pos) and indeterminant (ind) INNO-LIA scoring criteria as described in Methods.
