Phylogenetic tree based on selected human papillomavirus (HPV) major capsid protein gene (L1) open reading frames; the tree shows the grouping of HPVXS2. The phylogenetic analysis is based on the L1 open reading frames of all alpha-2 and alpha-4 papillomaviruses and on vaccine HPV types 6, 11, 16, and 18; the best tree was created by using the neighbor joining method with Tamura-Nei distances given.
