Four-week-old Lewis rats were inoculated intracerebrally with BDV; some rats were treated with cyclophosphamide (CY) (150 mg/kg) for immunosuppression 24 hours later. Animals were intravenously injected with >2x106 BDV-specific TH1 cells on the indicated days, either before (-) or after (+) infection with BDV.
