Weekly cases of measles by week of diagnosis, Japan, 2026. Provisional data for epidemiologic weeks 1–20, through May 20, 2026, are shown. Counts rose from week 11, peaked in week 17, and fell in weeks 18–20; the decline might reflect reduced reporting over an extended holiday period. Because reports accrue over subsequent weeks, counts for the most recent weeks are provisional and will rise.
